After the work: inspection, tiling and the quality document you keep

A membrane's whole value is that it's continuous and correct — but once tiles cover it, you can never see it again. So GVK builds in a check at exactly the right moment, and hands you the proof.

The inspection before tiling

When the tätskikt is complete, it is checked before the ceramics go on. This is the single highest-value inspection point in the entire project: a defect found here costs minutes to fix, while the same defect found after tiling can mean stripping the room back to the slab. An independent eye at this stage is one of the cheapest forms of protection a renovation can buy.

Then the tiling

Ceramic work follows, laid on the verified membrane to its own rules (the tiling trade's BBV rules pick up here), so the finish is applied over a base that's already been confirmed watertight.

Care and maintenance

GVK also sets out care and maintenance guidance for the finished room, because even a perfect membrane depends on the seals around fittings staying intact over the years.

The quality document

Finally, the client receives a quality document (kvalitetsdokument) recording the system used and the work carried out. This is the tangible proof that the wet room was built to GVK — the document that matters at an insurance claim or a future sale, and that turns "trust us" into evidence.
