In both cases the membrane is sealed to the penetrating detail using the covering kit's own components, so the watertight layer stays continuous around every pipe and fitting. The area around a shower is kept as free of penetrations as possible.

Coordinated with the other trades

These details don't exist in isolation. BBV is coordinated with the plumbing rules (Säker Vatten) and the waterproofing rules (GVK), so that where a pipe crosses from one trade's work into another's, the responsibilities and the sealing details line up — leaving no gap that nobody owns.
